Modern Animation And Different Animation Types

Modern Animation And different Animation types

The Simpsons:
How it was done: Cell based animation is where each produced cell is reproduced and is then made into different variations towards a new cell.
such as in the Simpsons, all the cells where hand drawn first.
Created by: Matt Groening
Animation Style: Cell based animation
How it was done:
This show originally started out as a short cartoon that was shown on The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19th 1987, later it was made into a half an hour prime time show based upon a dysfunctional family. it aired on December 1989 and has gone onto its 25th season with about 539 episodes so far at the 10/1/2014.
The layout of the show is basically the families problems and (somewhat) fixing them at the end. The number of characters in the show have grown through out the years, but people have always liked the main characters that have lasted for so many years through the shows fun and antics.

South Park: Cut out animation is where you take cut outs and use them in stop motion animation to create a moving movie.
How it works: Cut out is the same as what you do with clay animation you take cuttings of paper and take photos of the motion sequence over and over to give the illusion of motion.
Created by: Trey Parker and Matt Stone

Animation Style: Cut out paper which later became computer animation.
This animated show was created in 1997 and has since then made a wide variety of fans and many people who hate the series as well. the entire layout of the series is on issues's that happen in the public and the messages that are given at the end. although the entire show is inappropriate to some and most of the comedy is around shock humor.

Morph: Morph is made with clay stop motion animation where you take clay make it into a moving movie.
How is it done: It works by putting a piece of clay on camera and take a photo of one then change it slightly, then photo it again in the same order. after that put all of the images together and it gives the allusion of motion.
Created by: Peter Lord
Animation Style: Clay based
Morph is a claymation show based around the hilarious sketches of a character called Morph.

Animation Styles:

Pixilation: Pixillation is where you use a human instead of an inanimate object for a movie.
How is it done:
It is done the same way as clay you just move bit by bit in order to get the illusion of movement and in some cases people include clay in these movies in order to do more amazing things.

Time-Lapse: Time lapse is where a film can be created through multiple frames such as stop motion movies made with clay like morph. This process cannot be seen normally be the human eye such as the movement of the sun or the stars in the sky.
How does it work:
set up a camera and the camera will go off at a set time and make up the film from frames that are taken every time the camera goes off such as the sun rise video it take hours to do but due to less frames the video will be a few minutes based on the number of frames.
